Cabinet sur pied. Anvers. 17ème siècle et plus tardif.
A Flemish rosewood and tortoiseshell veneered cabinet on stand mounted with painted copper panels. Antwerp. 17th century and later. Blackened rosewood and blackened wood, tortoiseshell veneer, ripple-cut mouldings and gilded copper. When closed: two doors, hinged upper top and a large drawer underneath with ripple-cut mouldings. When opened: a central portico flanked by two columns and crowned by a barok pediment, surrounded by ten drawers decorated with paintings depicting several scenes from the Life of Christ. On a later ebonised stand with a frieze drawer. Handles on both sides. Restored and later additions. 74 x 81 x 39 cm (Voet: 90 x 86 x 41 cm)
