ATTRIBUÉ À CHARLES BERNEL (1889 - 1956)
Important flat desk in european green varnish with animated characters in landscapes of the Far East. It opens to three drawers in belt whose interior is in mahogany, the central drawer in recess, and simulates three on the opposite side.
It rests on cambered legs ending in gilt bronze lion paws. Rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes. Brown leather top, encircled by an ormolu mold. Louis XV style, second half of the 19th century.
