JARRE COVERED WITH SIDES in porcelain and dark brown enamel. (Cracks through the neck and chips; scratches on the body). Korea, 19th century. A DARK BROWN GLAZED PORCELAIN JAR AND LID, KOREA, 19TH CENTURY. HEIGHT. 12.5 CM (4 15/16 IN.) NOTE Ceramics with angular shapes were popular during the Choseon Dynasty (1392-1910), especially in the 18th and 19th centuries. - Similar object in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, reference C.46 & A-1962. - Similar object in the collection of the British Museum, reference 1946,0720.6.
