Daughter of the painter Alexandre Colin, married to the illustrator and painter Auguste Leloir, Héloïse Leloir began by executing small-scale portraits and watercolors. With her sisters Anaïs Toudouze and Laure Noël, she became one of the most important fashion designers of the Second Empire.
