Born in Argentina, Segui is a prolific artist ranging from painting to sculpture, returning to illustrations via engraving. His work was revealed in Europe on the occasion of the III Biennale de Paris, in 1963, the year he settled permanently in France. Often attached to the movement of narrative figuration, he describes himself as an independent artist.
Promoted in 2018 to the rank of officer in the Order of Arts and Letters, he was a member of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. He leaves us this year at age 88.
