Jean COCTEAU (1889-1963) Profil de femme,1932 Pen and ink on paper signed and dedicated in the middle, dated and located Hyères upper right. 19 x 12.5 cm Probably executed by Cocteau's patrons, Charles and Marie Laure de Noailles, at their villa in Hyeres. Probably dedicated to Jean Desbordes, a young French poet and writer who shared the artist's life for 7 years before being tortured by the Gestapo in 1944. A certificate can be requested by the purchaser from Madame Anne Guedras.
