Uncommon cut model. France, 17th century. Length : 20,2 cm - Width : 10,4 cm Good condition. Bibliography : René MAZENOT, Le Tastevin à travers les siècles, ed. 4 Seigneurs, 1973. Around these objects : Tastevin or wine cup, small container used to taste and mirror the wine, of circular form and frequently provided with a side handle. They are mainly made of silver, but are also currently made of wood, ceramic or glass. The hunting goblet is generally oval and was used to quench one's thirst during the hunt, therefore often more rustic. It was carried in the pocket, and was also called "Monaco" for the glass one.
