Rare stoneware tankard of slightly tapered cylindrical form, applied with three identical reserves and a studded band at each end, enclosing a Bacchus holding two horns of plenty, surrounded by foliage scrolling above a banner inscribed BREMENSI, in the center, the double-headed eagle with a shield with the arms of the city of Bremen and the date 1591 as well as the initials CM. Siegburg, circa 1600. Height : 23,2 cm Condition : cracks and chips on the neck.
