First German edition. - The Spanish singing teacher achieved outstanding medical importance by constructing the laryngeal mirror in 1855. "His laryngoscope was applied medically, especially by Czermak in Prague" (Hirsch-H. II, 682). - Although shortly after its invention the new method of examination was adopted not only by J.N. Czermak but also by L. Türck, no adaptation of this excellent work for the German-speaking world appeared for 23 years. - Unopened copy, slightly stained and somewhat browned.
