Five small Chinese blue and white "Vung Tau" cargo vases with covers, probably Kangxi period Each hexagonal body on a round hollow foot. The walls decorated with alternating cartouches of flowers and landscape views in blue and white. Flat shoulder and elongated, partly domed neck with stylized flower decoration. Three with domed plug-in lid. Stand ring unglazed in each case. Signs of age, dirty, no chips. Height 13 cm. - Formerly from the Vung Tau shipwreck auction at Christie's Amsterdam 1992.
