Stern, 1905], in-4°, 2 f. n. ch., 131 f, 20 numbered plates out of text reproduced by cliché from line drawings, each protected by a serpente and preceded by a printed title, brown half calf, smooth spine, gilt title (binding slightly rubbed, small tear to the first serpente, some freckling on the title page and endpapers, traces of handling). First edition of this anthology of German gallant and erotic poems, illustrated with 20 full-page out-of-text compositions by Franz von Bayros (1866-1924). Printed at 560 copies, of which 60 copies are numbered and signed on vellum paper, this one n° 52, but not the first one. This edition was produced by Franz Blei (1871-1942), gathering verses by George Scheffnern, Johann Peter Uz, August Ossenfelder, or Gottfried August Bürger.
