General of the Empire of Verviers - JARDON, Henri-Antoine, born on February 3, 1768 in Verviers in the principality of Liège and died on March 25, 1809 in São Martinho do Campo in Portugal, is a French general of the Revolution and the Empire, famous for his courage and his human qualities. His name (underlined because he died in battle) is engraved on the triumphal arch of the Étoile, on the west side. Certificate of service granted to a certain Chapuis. Handwritten text with wax seal signed by general Jardon. His portrait (lith.) and a booklet by M.C.
