Ilse Günther-Mayer (1934-2021) was one of the first photo reporters in Switzerland and the first press photographer for the international picture agency Keystone in Zurich.
Photographer Fred Mayer (1933-2021) worked for Magnum Photos and various press agencies, including ATP, DPA and AFP.
The couple published various portfolios more than 30 books. They realized reportages for various magazines (Stern, Geo, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Schweizer Illustrierte and others) which were taken during their joint travels (also to Africa).
