Ɵ The Great Mirror of the World. Lyon, Pour les Héritiers d'Eustache Vignon, 1593. In-8, plum chagrin, framed with gilt filets, spine decorated (Andrieux). Second edition of this philosophical-theological poem, partly original because corrected and increased by a sixth book. It includes annotations and observations on the text of Simon Goulart, for the explanation of several difficulties : & this in favor of the less trained persons in the various parts of the divine & human philosophy. Listed by Diane Barbier-Mueller, Inventaire..., n°296, the copy was in the libraries of Viollet-le-Duc (I, 1843, pp. 350-352), Michel Chasles and Gianni de Marco. Angular staining more or less pronounced on about sixty leaves including the title. Worm gallery repaired in the lateral margin of the OO and PP sections. Spine faded.
