Manuscript without erasure of the first act only, having been used for printing, with some typographical indications in blue pencil. Performed for the first time at the Théâtre du Vaudeville on 18/11/1871, this play which deals with the legitimacy of divorce was a huge failure and was only performed 5 times. It appeared for the first time in 1897 in "La Revue du Palais" then in the collective editions of 1898 and 1924-26.
