Sonnet in dialogue of Robin the water carrier, and Perrette the nurse. France [c. 1720-1740] Copper engraving, 12.7 x 9.9 cm on 1 printed sheet, laid 27.0 x 15.3 cm (fully remarged). A good copy. Rare leaf showing in the upper part the meeting of Robin and Perrette walking her infant. In the lower part, printed text in 14 verses with approximate rhymes in which Robin confesses his love to the nurse, who begs him to pass his way: "The speeches that you hold are speeches in vain:/ I will disturb my laict when I will have the desire of it".
