The kings represent the stadhouder and king of England William III of Orange-Nassau and the kings of the Netherlands Willem I to III. The ladies represent an allegory of the Netherlands and 3 women in traditional dress including a Javanese. The jacks represent military men. The aces are decorated with 2 views of different cities of the Netherlands or their colonies.
