(Revolution) Collection of 8 works or pamphlets concerning the abuse of pensions under the Ancien Régime, the work of the Pension Committee and the justification of certain beneficiaries in 1790. Bound in 1 volume. 13 by 20,5 cm. Modern half-chagrin with corners, smooth spine with large red title. Good condition of the binding. Very good condition inside. Precious meeting that includes: 1) RED BOOK. Paris, Baudouin, 1790, 39 pp. "This name of "Livre rouge" came from [...] the color of the binding used to cover various registers of the secret accounting, now kept in the national archives. The one that the Finance Committee had transcribed and printed in 1790 was the only one that Louis XVI had authorized to be made available [...]. One must be careful not to confuse [... this official publication] with a pamphlet with the same title, of which there are several editions or counterfeits.
