Entitled by Gounod " Inédit ", the manuscript contains the aubade " Ô blanc bouquet de l'épousée " from the beginning of act I of the opera Le Tribut de Zamora created in 1881. Probably sent with the Cavatine of the 3rd act of his Polyeucte (see previous lot), Gounod probably did not consider it necessary to sign or re-dedicate the manuscript.
