Gustave MOISE (1879-1955). "Entry of a banana tree in heavy weather in the port of Dieppe", oil on canvas, signed lower right (49.5 x 60.5 cm) titled on the back of the frame, located and dated 1950 Gustave Moïse, a student of the Beaux-Arts de Rouen, was a painter from Dieppe who liked to represent beach scenes, horse races and views of the port of Dieppe. The Norman city was the first banana port in France at the end of the 1930s.
