Alain Jacquet (after) The Lunch on the Grass, c. 1970 Composition of 9 small silkscreen prints on paper, based on Alain Jacquet's large silkscreened diptych from 1964. There were 95 variations of the original diptych made by the artist, including this edition. Size : +Frame size : 57 x 57 cm / 22,4 x 22,4 in. +Sheet size : 55,5 x 56 cm / 21,8 x 22 in. Condition : In very good condition, with bright and vivid colors. Framed. From the Camouflages series, started in 1962 by Alain Jacquet, presenting contemporary scenes superimposed on well-known masterpieces of Art. This composition represents a modern interpretation of the famous 1863 oil painting Déjeuner sur l'Herbe by Édouard Manet. The original 1964 diptych is the first mechanically produced work by Alain Jacquet, later known as the genesis of Mechanical Art, or Mec'Art.
