Lucien Hector Monod (1867-1957) The Voice of the Springs, 1899 Lithograph on wove paper Signed in the plate lower right Dry stamp of L'Estampe Moderne lower right Dimensions: +Sheet size : 30,5 x 40,5 cm / 12 x 15,9 in. +Image size : 25 x 30,5 cm / 9,8 x 12 in. Condition : In good overall condition with soft handling creases and some minor stains in the margins. The left margin is slightly damaged with a few small tears and small creases. Very clean image otherwise. From the famous L'Estampe Moderne box set published by Masson Piazza, Paris. Much like the Master of the Poster series, L'Estampe Moderne was a portfolio printed between 1897 and 1899, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris, containing 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned solely for this series. In addition to Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset. Shipping costs will be €18 inc.
