Antoine-Quentin FOUQUIER-TINVILLE (1746-1795) Public prosecutor of the Revolutionary Court, he was in turn guillotined. P.A.S., April 11, 1777; half-page in-8, tax stamp of the Generality of Paris on the back. A rare document from his early days in the judiciary, mentioning his particle. "Master Fouquier de Tinville, prosecutor at the Châtelet of Paris, declares to Mr. Turpin, prosecutor of Srs Bertrand, Delpech and company, that he is a prosecutor and will act for Sieur ChapsalMe, a boilermaker, on the summons given to him on the tenth of the present month, without any prejudicial approval and means of nullity, etc."
