London [The Hague], Société typographique, 1773. 2 volumes in one large vol. in-8, fawn basane, smooth spine decorated, red title page, gilt fillet on the edges, red edges (period binding). Upper spine and corners damaged, spine rubbed. One of the four editions published in 1773, and considered as the first, the Amsterdam edition of 1772 having all the appearances of a bibliographical phantom, as already noted by Quérard (Tchemzerzine III, 676. Cioranescu, XVIII, 33 651.)
