Paris, Imprimerie Royale, 1750. 2 vol. in-4 blond calf, spine with ornate nerves, title and greeks in maroon and brown, triple gilt fillet framing the boards, double fillet on the edges, gilt tr. (period binding). Some very slight rubbing or scratches, some very small holes on the spines of the lower board, small tear on the head cover of volume I. Edition decorated with an allegorical frontispiece, a repeated vignette to the titles, a headband and a lettering, all engraved by Lebas after Boucher. With the portrait of the author engraved out of text by Balechou after Aved. With Le Triumvirat, bound in fine. Ex-libris engraved Souchard Lévrier. A very nice copy.
