Description

[CLAIRVAL]. The Clair-voyant of Fontaine-bleau. Sl, 1623. In-8, 28 pp. one f. (Vers acrostic on the name of the King), green half-basin, smooth spine (19th c. binding). Spine unstained. Very rare occasional on the theme, on the other hand, very common of the decadence of the Kingdom and the remedies to bring to it. The text has nothing to do with Fontainebleau, apart from the stay of the Court. The attribution to a certain Clairval (Lyon) would explain the pun in the title. Only two copies in the CCFr (BnF and Lyon).
