[ARNAUD DE VILLENEUVE]. Regimen sanitatis Salerni / accurate castigatum adie- /cta tabula in calce libri / hactenus non im- /pressa. Lyon, Jacques Myt for Barthélémy Trot, February 26, 1516. In-8 gothic, title with beautiful bookseller's vignette, ff. ii-xl, then xlij-xliiij (lacking leaf xlj), [3] ff. of table, signed a-f (all in 8, except f, in 7 - lacking fi), 50 lines per page, traces of wetness with drips on the ff. of the table, old pen tests on verso of f. xiii, on ff. xv and xvj, on verso of f. xxiij, on ff. xxiv, xxv, xxvj and xxvij, half blond basane, spine with fleurdelisé (19th c. binding). Small worm gallery in upper margin, stopped. Staining having caused the ink to run without altering the reading on some leaves. Very rare Lyon edition of the famous Regimen sanitatis, attributed to the Valencian physician Arnau de Vilanova [1240-1311, Frenchized as Arnaud de Villeneuve], in fact rather commented by this illustrious practitioner, and whose first impressions, generally undated, are incunabula.
