Colonia, Ermanno Milio 1716. In-4° of 100 pages, brown calf, boards decorated with the arms of the Chancellor d'Aguesseau with scallop shells at the corners (binding of the time). Henri-François d'Aguesseau was appointed avocat du roi au Châtelet de Paris in 1690, then avocat général au Parlement de Paris in 1691. He became attorney general in 1700 and chancellor of France in 1717. He had built up an important library. Italian work of controversy against Abbé Fleury about the freedom of the church and the promulgation of its laws. Damage to the binding with lacks, wear.
