Barcelona-based visual artist, Pol Escarrer Lopez creates realistic 3D spaces subtly endowed with technological, industrial or futuristic elements. On March 22, he became the youngest NFT artist to be featured in a Spanish auction house with his work Horny Skulls, Horny Robots sold at Alcalá Subastas. The artist likes to question our near future and the impact of technology in our lives, sometimes making us forget the power of nature.
In Desert Obsolescence, Pol Escarrer shows a mountainous landscape where a few discarded computers and other elements of obsolete technology appear in counterpoint, before an autonomous car. The underlying desire for a future projection questions the place of nature. Will technology isolate us from nature? Is technology so important when machines become useless but mountains and skies prevail?
