On the back, the two labels of the exhibition of the Druet gallery, N° 1 Le chapeau bleu. We attach to the painting two exceptional private documents: two moving letters addressed by Georges Lemmen to his friend Henri Hamm. The first letter, dated December 20, 1906, mentions the 1906 exhibition and the painting. The second is more melancholic, the artist delivers his states of mind and his discouragement. We have two very important private documents: two original briefs by Georges Lemmen to his friend Henri Hamm. De eerste brief van 20 december 1906 vermeldt de tentoonstelling van 1906 en het schilderij. De tweede is meer melancholisch, de kunstenaar onthult zijn stemmingen en zijn ontmoediging.
