Superb single shot flintlock shotgun by JV Fernandez in Madrid with a length of 1410mm. Long blue water barrel of 1030mm length, octagonal in the third then round in gauge 22 to the pound, mouth slightly widened. Superb lock with the moda (with flint). Flat lock body bearing the signature and the punch of the arms manufacturer Fernandez. The hammer carries a paw in front and a paw in the back, these last ones forming notch of armed and of half-cocked. The notches of trigger cross the body of lock. Bassinet iron with sides come from forging, battery with retroussis, spring screwed of the interior. The body of lock and the hammer carry superb engravings (eagle with spread wings, sheaf of corn and coiled dragon). Iron mounted weapon with rich gilt bronze and chased fittings. Trigger with volute, trigger guard wood reported with rest-palm. Cover plate with return. Walnut frame, checkered grip. Barrel stopping at mid-barrel finished with a horn hood. Functional mechanism.
