Description
Strong sponge stylet, total length 345 mm. Blade with flat sides. Wide cutting edge, three quarters counter edge, slightly blunt and signed "B CAMPI" on the right ricasso. Blade mounted with tang, octagonal conical spindle in black wood decorated with alternating mother-of-pearl plates on the main sides, and a thin plate with a twisted decoration imitating a silver rope on the secondary sides. The bolster of the conical head is scalloped and decorated with a bead, the bolster of the pommel has 4 rounded sides, a beautiful Moor's head stamped on the pommel's plate, which inevitably attributes this stylet to Corsica. In a wooden scabbard covered with tan leather and with three silver trimmings with a brace cut (Condition 1).
