Beautiful and elegant TEHRAN carpet inlaid with silk on a silk chain (Persia), end of the 19th century Dimensions : 338 x 218cm. Technical characteristics : Wool and silk velvet on silk foundation. On a ruby red field spreads a rich decoration made of scrolls, bouquets and flowers all more colorful and exuberant than the others. In the middle of this explosion of colors are hidden deer and birds. Four counter borders, two ivory with garlands of flowers and two others anthracite with florets frame the main royal blue border, with rich multicolored floral suite placed on large ivory stems.
