Description

MANOLO GIMENO GRANELL (Algimia de Almonacid, 1933). "Family". Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower left corner. The canvas is not stretched. Measurements: 100 x 130 cm; 117 x 148 cm (frame). Artistically he often signed as Manolo Granell. He worked as a ceramist in the Valencian city of Manises for several years. Later he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Valencia. After completing his studies as a teacher, he was awarded the Prix d'Excellence by the Diputación de Valencia. He became a drawing teacher at the Virgen de la Paloma school in Madrid. At middle age, he began to participate in exhibitions in Madrid, Bilbao, Orense, Guadalajara, Altea, Moraira and Benidorm. In Benidorm he opened his own gallery, called "Galería masiva". Currently, his work is part of collections in Germany, France, Belgium, Scandinavia and the United States.
