The first 12 bound in 1 volume half black basane with the bradel with preserved covers, not trimmed. And the 6 other numbers, stapled with covers illustrated by Picabia. For these last 6 issues, the flying hors-texte (Max Ernest; Man Ray; Picabia. G. de Chirico) are present except for the one of the n°10 of the new series. The cover of the n°1 of the new series is detached and with small lacks. André Breton retained the title of Literature proposed by Paul Valéry, inspired by a poetic art of Verlaine (1874) which has for last sentence: "And all the rest is literature". Breton will say that the adoption of the title was done by antiphrase, in a spirit of derision.
