A very rare and beautiful white gold tonneau watch, grooved bezel, radiant silver dial, exterior minute track, gold applied hour markers, hands (replaced in black for better legibility) and luminous studs, day display at noon (German) and date at 3 o'clock, permanent center seconds. Engraved 19000 caseback and screw-down crown, 5055 caliber mega-quartz movement, original gold invisible deployant buckle bracelet. Rare case and original perforated warranty. Born from the competition of quartz in the 80's, the hybrid mega-quartz calibers 5035 and 5055 remain technologically far ahead of their time and Japanese production, the battery still driving a mechanical movement composed of a wheel and a lever escapement. Produced in very limited quantities over a period of 25 years, the Rolexes with the ticking sound at each second will be in the catalog for the gold models until the stock runs out in 2003.
