German translation by Aegidius Sturz of the Promptuarium Catholicum by Thomas Stapleton (1535 - 1598), here in 2nd German edition of 1596. - Canisius "Notae" with woodcut title vignette, title page of Stapleton's "Haußpostill" in red and black, both works with decorative moldings and initials. Binding rubbed and bumped. Paper darkened, 1 vacatblatt rear detached. Isolated marginalia. Otherwise still very good condition with tight binding. With stamp and spine signature of a dissolved monastic library.
