Natalie Clifford Barney was the Amazon of Remy de Gourmont (1858-1915). Met in 1910, she became his muse. A platonic love coupled with an ecstatic experience saved his last years, while he lived away from the social scene, affected by a lupus that had disfigured his face.
One of the first 5 numbered copies on old imperial paper of Japan (n° 3).
Beautiful copy preserved as issued.
