Jean Lorrain (1855-1906) appreciated very early the literary talent of the young writer that was Gide; he was inspired by Les Nourritures terrestres in the composition of Monsieur de Phocas (1901).
Jean Lorrain offered this copy to Dr. Samuel Pozzi (1846-1918). Doctor and poet, he was the father of the poetess Catherine Pozzi and a pioneer of gynecology.
A very well preserved copy.
