A BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI
Thailand, 19th century. Seated on a boat-shaped curved base with upturned ends and worked in openwork, the right hand lowered in bhumisparsa mudra and the left resting in his lap, wearing a sanghati draped over his left shoulder. His serene face with downcast eyes, arched brows, and full lips, flanked by long pendulous earlobes. The hair arranged in tight curls with a high ushnisha and Ketumala (flame).
Condition: Good condition with some old wear and casting flaws, minor losses to the flame and base, tiny nicks and dents, fine dark patina
