Ancient region of Gandhara, Kushan period, 2nd - 3rd century. With both hands raised in front of the chest, wearing a diaphanous robe delicately carved with drapes falling fluently. Mounted to a recent base.
Condition: With notches, material loss, repairs, and traces of age and wear. Remnants of old pigment.
Provenance: Private collection, Belgium, according to the previous owner acquired at Galerie Carre des antiquaries, Versailles, c. 2000.
