A SET OF NINE JAPANESE MIXED METAL KAGAMIBUTA BUTTONS Japan, Edo period (1615-1867) to Meiji period (1868-1912) Comprising nine Kagamibuta top pieces made of different metal alloys and finely decorated with gold, silver and copper inlays. Depicting different scenes such as cranes in flight above waves, an Oni carrying a temple bell, Jurojin, or a Luohan. WEIGHT 80 g (total) DIAMETER c. 3 cm each Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of wear. Provenance: French private collection.
