A LARGE GILT BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER WITH MATCHING STAND China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Of compressed globular form, supported on three short feet, with two raised opposing loop handles on the rim, the base with a producer mark within a recessed square. With a matching lobed floral stand in the form of overlapping petals supported on three ruyi-head feet. Four character seal mark to underside. Condition: With minor wear, some light scratches and a small dent, casting flaws as expected. The rim with a section of 6 cm restored. Provenance: German private collection.
