A Bronze Tripod Censer

A BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Heavily cast and raised on three tall, tapering feet, flanked by a pair of loop handles, the outer rim cast with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark. Condition: Good condition with minor wear, some surface scratches, and nicks to edges. With casting flaws as expected and fine, naturally grown patina. Provenance: German private collection.
