The Chimpanzee and the Baule statue is one of the etchings contained in the portfolio of 10 engravings and a frontispiece, published in 1931, and printed on Japon paper.
For each of the etchings Jouve will reserve a deluxe edition on parchment of some very rare copies.
This subject is the resumption of an older composition realized in 1912.
