ПАРИЖ МОЙ [Moi Parij]. Moscow, Izogiz, 1933. In-8, publisher's white printed blue boards. First edition of My Paris, a famous album of photographs: layout and typography by El Lissitzky. Famous photo-reportage in the popular Paris of the 30s, revealing all the hidden faces of the capital: workers and unemployed, small jobs, old people, homeless ... It was translated into French by Elsa Triolet. "Moi Parij (My Paris) considerably enriches the photographic bibliography of this city which is one of the most photographed. It is the work of a man who has lived there for many years and who casts a very impartial eye on a capital city that, in general, arouses at least a certain romanticism in its visitors and residents" (Parr, The Book of Photographs I, p. 132). Modest copy, as always. Spine restored. The rare illustrated dust jacket is missing.
