Plaquette in-8 of VI pp., 118 pp. half calf blue duck with small corners, spine decorated in gold and cold, grey title label on the first cover, untrimmed, gilt head, covers preserved (modern binding). First edition, printed at 500 copies. A first edition copy with a misprint at the top of page eleven, corrected during printing. It offers nevertheless, at the end of the volume, the cardboard of page 11 and the table, proper to the later printings. The collection knew a brilliant and immediate success. A second edition with the poems le Génie and la Retraite was immediately published. (In French in the text, BN, 1990, nº 227.) An autograph copy of stanzas 2 to 8 of Le Lac signed by Lamartine is mounted at the head of the book, 1 ½ page in-8. A pleasant copy. From the library of Robert and Jeanne Percheron, with bookplate.
