Osa SCHERDIN is a Swedish sculptor living in France. She works with clay, stone and marble, drawing on her personal experiences in her work. She collaborates with the goldsmith Christofle in a series of display objects from which our bronze is derived.
Like Gustave Courbet, Osa SCHERDIN represents the origin of life by a female sex. But unlike the realist painter, his work is not intended to be hidden, but rather to decorate a desk and serve as a paperweight.
