Paul Gaston Deprez (1872-1941) Minerva Head in red wax enhanced with gold H. 17 cm, rests on a base H. 13 cm This artist, born in Avignon, entered the fine arts school in 1890. He then set up a workshop in Avignon in which he produced mainly waxes with the aim of making edition bronzes. In 1912, he joined the Group of Thirteen, which brought together the great Avignon artists of the early 20th century, such as the painter Joseph Meissonnier and the sculptor Jean-Pierre Gras.
