A miquelet flintlock pistol
dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Naples, Round, smoothbore, 17 mm cal barrel, with square, browned base, short rib featuring a gold lily, front sight; lock carved with floral motifs and with gold mark 'AC', wooden stock featuring handle with weaving carvings, shell-shaped pommel with mother-of-pearl eye; part of the counter-plate with very fine silver inlays. Smooth silver mounts. Iron ramrod. length 36 cm.
